Such joy, my cup runneth over. I don’t know, but as David said, “My cup runneth over” My cup was running over in super abundance. Now I know more got up off of my knees there, walked half way across the kitchen, he struck me again, I went into another one, that’s the third time. This time He revealed to me a persecution coming upon the Bride of Christ. Told me there, revealed to me in this vision that, “There will come a day when they’ll kill you and think they will do God a service”. Showed myself right there being martyred. They were trying to martyr me, getting ready in the process of doing it, for the gospel. Only it didn’t say gospel, He said, “The Faith.” A man was doing the martyrdom. Well, I tell you what, he was going to cut my head off. And that was kind of hard to understand in 1958. It’s not too hard to understand now, seeing the World Council of Churches and how they are talking. How many say Amen to that?
And it was the Voice of God, it wasn’t me. They tried to get me to deny this Faith, this Faith, it didn’t say the faith it said, deny this Faith, or were gonna do such and such a thing. And then I heard the Voice of God speak, “Go ahead and do it then.” Oh boy, I think God the scripture said that you should not meditate on what you say in that day, there will be a word given to ya. I heard God speaking through me. He said, “Go ahead and chop it off then.” Then the next thing you know, I come out of that. Now I was standing there… Mark will never forget this to this day. He just was a little tot, my boy sittin here. He had me by the pants leg and brought me to myself by pulling my pants leg and said, “Daddy, daddy you gonna have your head chopped off?” Now he heard that Voice of God speaking to me in that trance see? He said, “Daddy you gonna have your head chopped off?” I said, “Son, I don’t know.” And by that time the other children was up. (I tried to act normal when my wife got home, but she could see that something was different, but she didn’t say anything.)

Notice — He was a lamb during seven church ages, but now after the church ages are over, He comes with a different kind of a ministry now. A different kind of ministry altogether. It’s not a Lamb, but a Lion ministry.
But now here He comes as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. Judah was the one that guarded the EASTERN GATE and Judah was the Lion whose birthstone was Leo. Leo is July and July is harvest time. So, He comes as the Lion of the tribe of Judah to reap the harvest.

But He’ll come through Juda.” 191 “AND THE LION, THE SYMBOL OF THE TRIBE OF JUDAH, HAS PREVAILED. HE HAS OVERCOME.” 192 And when he looked around to see where that Lion was, he saw a Lamb. Strange, look for a Lion and see a Lamb. The elder called Him a Lion. But when John looked, he saw a Lamb, “A LAMB AS IT HAD BEEN SLAIN FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD.” A Lamb having been slain. You could tell He had been in battle. He had been slain, but He was alive again. 194 John hadn’t noticed this Lamb before, you know, here. It hadn’t been mentioned before. Nowhere had It been mentioned. John didn’t see It, all over the Heavens, as he was looking. But here It come forth. 195 Notice where It came forth. Where did It come from? It come from the Father’s Throne, where He had been seated since He had been slain and raised again. “He raised up and sat on the right hand of God, ever living to make intercessions.” Amen. Raised there, today, as an Intercessor, with His Own Blood, to make intercession upon the ignorance of the people. Now, that’s the One I’m depending on. He still was covered with bleach, the bleach of the forgiveness of sin. 196 John looked at that Lamb, and the Lamb looked like He had been slain. And then he noticed He was wounded, and cut, and bruised, and bleeding. A bloody Lamb, that’s what took our place. Isn’t it strange, a simple Lamb had to take our place? And he saw the Lamb. He proceeded out. 197 John hadn’t saw Him, because He had been way back into the Eternities, even making intercession; and showing that those who had come to God, under the offering of the blood of bulls, of goats, a substitutionary offering, He also…Cause, them who believed it, pointed to Him. And the Blood had not been shed yet, so He was there to clear them. He was there to clear you and I. 198 And, O God, I hope He is there tonight. For every sinner, the Lamb been slain. How can Jehovah see anything but that bloody Lamb standing there! 199 And the Lamb proceeded out into the vision now, as It had been slain. Notice, come from the Father’s Throne. Oh, think! He, where did He advance from, to this vision? He come from Glory, where He is seated at the right hand of God. He advanced forth, to John, out of Glory. 200 Oh, would not it be a glorious thing if our sinful thoughts, tonight, could be laid aside long enough to accept Him, and He would advance all the way from Glory, tonight, to make Hisself known to any of you! 201 The Lamb advancing from Glory, for intercessions, all right, to make claims now for His redemption! Remember, He had been on His mediatorial work back here. But, remember, these Seals are ready to be opened, and the Lamb come from the sanctuary of God, advanced forward. 202 Wait till we get over there, that one hour, take that “one-half hour” that It’s silent. The sanctuary is smoking. There is no more intercession. The Sacrifice has left. It’s a Judgment Seat. There is no Blood on it no more, for the Blood-covered Lamb has walked away. Don’t you wait till that time. Remember in the Old Testament? As long as the blood was off the mercy seat, it was judgment; but as long as the blood was on there, there was mercy. [Brother Branham knocks on the pulpit five times—Ed.] But when the Lamb walked away, that did it! 203 What’s He been? He has been an Intercessor. No other person! Tell me where Mary could make intercessions then. What could Mary offer? What could Saint Francis, Saint Assisi, or any, and Saint Cecilia, rather, or any other human being? John never saw a thousand saints come out from the mediatorial. “He saw a Lamb, a Lamb that had been slain, bloody.” I don’t care how many saints have been slain; they were all due it, every one of them. Like the thief said at the cross, “We’ve sinned, and we are due this. But this Man has done nothing.” He was the only Man that was worthy. 204 Here He come, from the intercessory box. What’s He coming for now? Watch Him! Oh, oh, oh, my! [Brother Branham claps his hands together three times—Ed.] 205 John was weeping. Where is it all—all at? What’s going to happen? 206 Said, “Don’t weep, John,” said the elder. “Here comes the Lion. He was the One prevailed.” When he looked, here come a Lamb, bloody, that had been slain. 207 Anything that’s killed is bloody. You know, it’s been killed. Its neck has been chopped open, or something. The blood is all over it. 208 Here come a Lamb, been slain. And HE CAME FORTH, OH, MY, (WHAT?) TO MAKE HIS CLAIMS ON HIS REDEMPTION. Amen. Oh! Oh! I…Don’t you just feel like just going over in a corner, sit down and cry a while? Here come a Lamb, still bloody. John…There wasn’t nothing there; all the celebrity was standing around, but there was none of them could do it. So, here come the Lamb, now. His intercessory days is over, the mediatorial days. 209 That’s when this Angel is going to stand there. You wait till we get in the Seals. “And time shall be no more.” That’s right. That “half hour of silence.” Watch what takes place in that half hour of silence, when that Seventh Seal, next Sunday night, the Lord willing. 210 He comes forth (what?) to take His claims now. OH, MY! COMES FORTH TO TAKE HIS CLAIMS! NOW, HE HAD DONE THE KINSMAN WORK. HE HAD COME DOWN, BECOME MAN, DIED. HE DONE THE KINSMAN WORK OF REDEMPTION, BUT HAD NOT AS YET CALLED FOR HIS CLAIM. NOW HE COMES ON THE SCENE TO CLAIM HIS RIGHTS, (WATCH WHAT TAKES PLACE) OH, MY, FOR WHICH HE WAS SLAIN, FOR AS BECOMING A KINSMAN TO MAN, TO DIE IN HIS PLACE, TO REDEEM HIM. But, the elder was right when he said He was a “Lion,” see. The elder called Him, said, a “Lion.” Because, HE HAD BEEN A LAMB, AN INTERCESSOR, A BLOODY LAMB, BUT NOW HE IS COMING FORTH AS A LION. His days of intercession is over. 211 “Let him that’s filthy be filthy still. Let him that’s righteous be righteous still. Let him that’s holy be holy still.” The thing is closed. Oh, brother! Then what? Then what? 212 And, remember, it comes at the seventh church age, when the mysteries of God will be opened up. Now watch real close. This is something you must get. Now, He had been doing His mediatorial work, making intercessions for the believer. For two thousand years He had been back there, a Lamb. Now He is stepping forth from Eternity, to take the title-deeded Book, and to break the Seals, and reveal the mysteries. When of it? At the end time. 213 Do you get it? [Congregation says, “Amen.”—Ed.] All right, we’ll go on then. 214 Now, break the Seals and release all the mysteries to them, to the seventh angel, whose Message is to reveal all the mysteries of God. The mysteries of God lays in these Seven Seals. See? That’s what He said here. All the mysteries lays in these Seven Seals. 215 And the Lamb comes forth now, from being a Mediator between God and man. HE BECOMES A LION. AND WHEN HE BECOMES A LION, HE TAKES THE BOOK. That’s His rights. God has held It, the mystery, but now the Lamb comes. 216 Nobody could take the Book. It’s still in the hands of God. No pope, priest, whatever might be, they can’t take (no) the Book. The Seven Seals hasn’t been revealed. See? 217 But when, the Mediator, when His work is done as an Intercessor, He comes forth. And John…The elder said, “He’s a Lion.” And He comes forth. Watch Him. Oh, my! See? He comes forth to take the Book, now watch, to reveal the mysteries of God, that others has guessed at, in all these denominational ages.

As He starts up Golgotha yonder, I begin to look on His back, and I see little red spots all over His coat. I say, “What are those red spots?” I keep watching them. As He goes the spots gets bigger, bigger, bigger; now they all run into one great big bloody spot. I hear something going, [Brother Branham claps three times—Ed.] What is it? 266 The Seals was broke (why?) in the last church age, to reveal these Truths. Why? The Lamb broke the Seals and revealed them to His Church, in order to collect His subjects for His Kingdom. His Bride, see! Oh, my! He wants to bring His subjects to Him now. 267 What is it? Out of the dust of the earth, out of the bottom of the sea, out of the pits, out of everywhere and every place, out of—out of the regions of the dark, out of paradise, wherever they may be. He’ll call, and they’ll answer. Amen! Amen! [Congregation says, “Amen.”—Ed.] He’ll call, and they’ll answer. 268 He come to get His subjects. He revealed His secrets, and they saw It. “And time is no more,” at that time. “Time has run out.” It’s finished. All right. 269 He leaves the Throne, to be an Intercessor, as a slain Lamb; to be a Lion, King; to bring the world to Judgment, who has rejected His Message. He’s not a Mediator. 270 Remember the Old Testament teaching now, as we hurry. When the blood went off the mercy seat, what was it? Judgment seat. 271 And when the Lamb, slain, walked forward from Eternity, out of the Father’s Throne, and took His rights, it was a Judgment Seat. THEN HE BECOME, NOT A LAMB, BUT A LION, KING, AND HE CALLS FOR HIS QUEEN TO COME STAND BY HIS SIDE. 272 “Know ye not the saints shall judge the earth?” Daniel said, “The Judgment was set, and the books were opened; and ten thousands times ten thousands of thousand ministered to Him,” King and Queen. “And then another Book was opened, which was the Book of Life,” that’s for the church. And the Queen and the King stood there.

So He had to be identified to the world; and that day down on the river, when He walked down to prove Hisself God’s Masterpiece (that I talked about this morning)…When He was obedient to walk into the water… 100 Now, if you notice there, there’s a great lesson. John was the greatest man on earth, at the time. Jesus said, “There never was a man borned of a woman as great as he,” to that time. And he was a prophet. You believe that? Now, remember, if the Word of God will come to anything in the land, it’ll be a prophet. That’s always God’s way. Do you believe that Jesus was the Word manifested in flesh? So there’s only one way He can come to be introduced; not by the priests. 101 He didn’t go up and say, “Caiaphas, will you introduce Me?” If He did, He made the same mistake that David did in our lesson the other day; see, if He went up to the church, and said, “Will you introduce Me?” 102 Just notice when He was borned, even. When He was borned, He was borned in the shadow of the church. And they was probably rang the bells and everything, but it was shepherds that recognized Him, and Magi. See? 103 And here He is now, on…ready for His ministry. And if He is the Word… 104 According to God’s great plan, the Word can only…“The Lord God does nothing until He first reveals It to His servants the prophets.” That’s always His pattern, has to be; when the Seals were opened, when anything else. Any major event taking place in the earth, God reveals it to His prophets. 105 And John was the prophet, for he was prophesying “He’d come.” 106 Then down off the side of a hill one day…when a discussion was going on, a bunch of priests standing around. And they said, “Do you mean to tell me that you call yourself a ‘prophet,’ and stand over there in that mud?” (not in a church, because they wouldn’t have him) “Stand over that mud, and tell me that the hour’s coming when the great Jehovah Who ordained these sacrifices, when great Jehovah Who built this temple, Who came into it as a Pillar of Fire, ‘the day will come when that daily sacrifice will be taken away’?” 107 He said, “There will come a Man, and He’s among you now (somewhere out there), and He will take away the sin.” The priest was discussing it with him. 108 John looked up! Now, what is he? The prophet! And here is the Word, there comes the Word coming right straight to the prophet, right to the water. JOHN SAID, “BEHOLD, THE LAMB OF GOD THAT TAKES AWAY THE SIN OF THE WORLD. There He is, that’s Him.” Jesus never spoke a word, walked right out into the water. And I can see there, standing in that water (think of a drama), TWO OF THE GREATEST THAT EVER STRUCK THE EARTH: God the Word, and His prophet. 109 Notice, the Word come to the prophet in this dispensation of grace, in the water (uh-huh). I thought you’d catch it (uh-huh). In the water! The first revelation of the Word was in the water. Now you see where the BRIDE STARTED, THE EVENING-LIGHT MESSAGE? IN THE WATER! THE WORD, TRUE WORD not mixed up with creeds, but come to the prophet in the water, by the water. 110 Notice! Could you imagine the eyes of the Word and the eyes of the prophet meeting in the water? Oh, that’s too much for me. There stood the prophet, there stood the Word, looking in each others’ eyes. And the prophet said, “I have need to be baptized of Thee, why comest Thou unto me?” 111 And the Word said…It has to be true. Now let me give a drama here: 112 “John, you’re a prophet, you know the Word.” See? “You recognize Me, you know Who I am.” 113 “I have need to be baptized of Thee,” John said. 114 Jesus said, “Suffer that to be so. That’s exactly right, you do have need to be baptized of Me. But remember, John, being a prophet, it is behooving to us, or becoming to us (as the Word and the prophet), that we fulfill every Word. Uh-huh. For, John,” (here’s the revelation now) “JOHN, YOU KNOW WHO I AM, I AM THE SACRIFICE. AND ACCORDING TO THE WORD OF GOD, THE SACRIFICE HAD TO BE WASHED BEFORE IT WAS PRESENTED FOR SACRIFICE.” IS THAT RIGHT? THE WORD…“THE LAMB WAS WASHED AND THEN PRESENTED FOR SACRIFICE, AND I AM THAT LAMB. AND I MUST BE WASHED BEFORE I CAN BE PRESENTED TO THE WORLD FOR A SACRIFICE. Suffer it to be so, John, for thus it is becoming to us as THE WORD AND THE PROPHET TOGETHER.” 115 Well, there can’t be a mistake. Now, every one of these things… 116 Now, see, if it wasn’t that very setup, John would’ve been like any of the rest of us; so they say, “Yeah, I—I know who You are, Lord.” 117 “Well,” He said, “wait a minute, I’m the Word. Uh-huh. ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word.’ Eve left off one uh-huh, but you got to take every Word. And I am that Sacrifice, and I must be washed before I’m presented. But what you said, John, is true.” 118 John being a prophet, knowing the Word had to be fulfilled, he suffered that and baptized Him. And when He was raised up out of the water, there come the Message from Heaven on the wings of a Dove, “This is My beloved Son.” He sent the redemption Message of grace on the wings of a Dove, come flying down out of the heavens. “Peace on earth, good will toward men.” The Sacrifice was ready right then; been raised, fed, His ministry was ready, A WORD THAT WOULD REDEEM the whole world, “It’s over!”

Then you say to me, “Adam died, Brother Branham.” 187 But remember, before Adam died, he had a lamb that redeemed him. Hallelujah! “Those who He foreknew, He has called.” He got a lamb to redeem them. He was a type. Adam fell. Then the lamb was provided for Adam, because already in his nostrils had become the Breath of the Eternal God, and he become a living soul. He was a son of God. 188 Not his breath, as the African word. I don’t know what the Greek word is for it, right now. But the African word, they call amoyah, which means, “the wind; an unseen force.” Animals breathe amoyah. Sinners breathe amoyah. 189 Then why would we struggle for Eternal Life, if that’s the Eternal soul breathed into us by breath? Why would we struggle for Eternal Life? It backfires, brother. See? It—it—it just can’t do it. 190 But, God, specially upon Adam, breathed the Breath of Eternal Life, and he become an Eternal person with God. He had power like God. He was an amateur god. He was god of the earth; not God of Heaven, now. God of the earth! 191 And some day the sons of God will again become gods. Jesus said so. “Is not it written in your law, ‘Ye are gods’? Then if you can call those who He called god, who God visited, how can you condemn Me, say, when I say I’m the Son of God?” See? Now we’re getting into something deep. Now watch this when we drive it down. 192 Now, here they are. He is now a son of God, but he makes a mistake. He knows he’s doing wrong. Now remember, Adam was not deceived. The Bible said so. First Timothy 3. “Adam was not deceived, but the woman was the deceived, was in the transgression.” Adam walked with Eve, because it was his wife. 193 Same as Christ, not deceived by Satan, but walked into the death with the Bride. He went to be with the Bride, so He could redeem the Church. 194 Adam knowed he was wrong, so he just walked out with Eve. See? But there was a lamb provided for them, that they were redeemed. 195 And these lambs, today, that were foreknown by God, and God has called, there is a Redeemer. “No man can come to Me except My Father draws him. And all the Father has given Me will come to Me.” That right? [Congregation says, “Amen.”—Ed.] So there is a provided Lamb, from the foundation of the world, where their names were put on the Lamb’s Book of Life. A Lamb was provided, to make a way of grace for every one of them to go in the resurrection, a provided Lamb; Adam’s lamb, now notice, as Adam had a provided lamb.

Had his horns hooked in the vines, right behind him. 55 I want to ask you a question. Where did that ram come from? He was three day’s journey from civilization, and up on top of a mountain where there’s no water, why, the wild beasts would’ve killed… The lio—the lions and things would have got the little ram if it’d wandered ninety miles back in the wilderness. And then, up on top of the mountain, another day’s journey where there’s no water, no grass, if you know the land, have been in there, just rocks that’s all. And here was this little ram hooked in the wilderness by its horns. The sagebrush and stuff had it all hooked up by its horns. Where did it come from? Why? No wonder Abraham called it—Him Jehovah-jireh. What happened? The Lord spoke that ram into existence. He spoke it in existence one minute, and another minute it went out of existence. What is He? He is able. Amen. He’s Jehovah-jireh. He’s God. IT WASN’T A VISION; THE LAMB BLED. 56 THE SAME GOD THAT COULD PULL THE ELEMENTS TOGETHER AND MAKE A BODY FOR HIM TO LIVE IN AND WALK up before Abraham, THAT SAME GOD SPOKE A RAM INTO EXISTENCE, FOR THERE WAS A NEED FOR A SACRIFICE.

And that’s the way we have to be, our natures has to change from the roaring sinner to the meekness of a lamb. 41 And did you notice the Dove led the Lamb? And I’ll prophesy to you this morning, He’ll roar out and He’ll want a reason why they turned down the message of God. Oh, God help us to hold this message tenderly in our heart. Cherish it and respect it and reverence it. Friend, I tell you, the wrath of God will belch one of these days. When that last member goes into the Bride of Christ. Old things die. 135 And if you reject to hear It, and just keep, “Well, my preacher said this, that, or the other,” and YOU REFUSE TO HAVE LIFE, YOU BECOME STERILE.
